GFM is an adventure that began more than 40 years ago.

A story made of dreams and achievements, expertise and passion, which continues and looks to the future, thanks also to the numerous investments in technological research, such as Additive Manufacturing, to guide and support customers into new frontiers of mechanics.

Today, GFM is a solid and innovative company with about 90 employees, divided between its headquarters and manufacturing unit. It has proven itself to be a reliable partner for major players in the international energy industry.

    Giovanni Gandini begins his entrepreneurial activity by procuring mechanical components for Ansaldo.

    Opening of the first warehouse for the storage of raw materials dedicated to the energy sector.
  • 2004

    GFM’s first positive experience on the international market, which allows it to expand its business and consolidate its position in the energy industry.

    The collaboration with Siemens and General Electric is established. GFM consolidates its energy expertise and obtains ISO 9001 certification.

    First delivery in kit form, according to GFM’s integrated logistics, for the construction of a heavy-duty gas turbine.

    GFM acquires internal production capacity, strengthening its technical skills with the aim of entering new markets.

    Completion of the new Mapello site.

    GFM becomes a joint-stock company.

    GFM is UNI EN 9100 accredited for the management of its supply chain, and precision machining processes for the production of specific components for aerospace applications. It joins the Lombardia Aerospace Cluster.

    Launch of MADE4LO project.

    Completion of the new production and technological site of Nembro. Launch of the CUSTODIAN project.

    Opening of the ATC Technological Centre dedicated to Additive Manufacturing.

    GFM is qualified as supplier for Leonardo Elicotteri.

    In partnership with Gruppo Cividale, GFM creates ATS Microfusione Srl to relaunch the historic ATS of Sasso Marconi, a market leader in investment casting technology.
